Good Samaritan is a founding member of Western Bayside Churches United - three neighboring churches working together for the betterment of our community. Enoch Baptist and Heritage United Methodist are the other two churches. “Like” us on Facebook. C

Current projects include:

· The Community Garden

Located on Good Samaritan property this garden produced over 1,000 pounds of sweet potatoes last year that were shared with the community.  This year we plan to have even more vegetables and more people gardening. There may be flowers as well to add beauty to the neighborhood.  We hope the garden can help the food pantry at Heritage as well.

· Fall and Spring Community Days

A day of fun and food, information, and assistance. Spring Community Day is May 5, 2012 from 1-4 p.m. in the lot next to Club Royale Blue on Baker Rd. The focus is “Civic Awareness.” Activities include inflatables for children, vendors with information on community services, food for everyone prepared by Club Royale Blue, and entertainment.  The churches are making plans and lining up volunteers to assist.

Good Samaritan members collect food to give monthly to the food pantry at Heritage United Methodist Church.
